Should I be MAD?????

I recently found out I needed a co-signer to get an apartment. I have had others before in the same area and have never had a problem getting approved. But I got married and low and behold my husbands credit is not great:(.I attribute this to why we did not get approved. My mother-in-law said she would co-sign. I set up a phone Conference with the leasing office and called her with the information...she said okay. But when it was time to talk to the agent she said she couldn't do it. I feel like I did not ask her for help she offered and that it looks even worse to the leasing agents because she pulled out at the last min.By the way the rent in the new apartment is 100.00 cheaper then where we are living now...I've been here for two and half years. Do I have a right to be mad?
