If Jews Return to the West, Would it Really be That Bad?

There are so many many more opportunities for Jews in the United States than in Israel. I know some Israelis families who have moved to the US and they are so much happier and wealthier than their Israeli counterparts. Why should Jews raise their kids in a geographic environment where they would grow up with deep hatreds and would be hated by those around them? Palestinians can't go anywhere else, but Jews have strong roots in the West. Why Judaism needs Israel to survive if Israel wants to be a secular state anyway.
