Substitute for Shaoxing wine?

I am a former chef and used Shaoxing wine, it is alot like sweet sherry, if you want a non alcoholic version, I would use white g juice and soya sauce, or red wine vinegar, sugar and soya sauce. The acid in the wine not only flavours the stew it is a tenderizer also. Red wine vinegar is not alcoholic, if you do not have it cider vinegar is fine to.
